You can choose cash at the kiosk or a digital payment through PayPal or Venmo. Cash is paid on the spot once you complete the sale. Digital payments usually arrive within 2 to 24 hours. Either way, you’re getting money you can spend, not credit toward another phone.

Allow about seven minutes for the transaction. You’ll connect your iPhone, verify your identity, and review the kiosk’s offer. If you’re happy with the amount, you can finish the sale. If not, decline the offer and take your phone back.

Yes. You must be at least 18 and bring an unexpired driver’s license or state-issued photo ID. The kiosk scans your ID to verify your identity during the transaction. A passport or paper ID won’t work, so check that you have an accepted ID before heading over.

Yes. ecoATM buys damaged iPhones, including phones with cracked screens and devices that won’t turn on. Damage will affect the offer, but it doesn’t automatically mean your phone has no value. You don’t need to get it repaired before bringing it to a kiosk for evaluation.

Yes. ecoATM accepts carrier-locked iPhones, so you don’t have to get your carrier to unlock the phone first. It does need to be paid off, though. You’ll also need to remove Apple’s Activation Lock and sign out of your iCloud account before selling. That’s different from a carrier lock, which ties the phone to a particular wireless provider.

It depends on whether you’d rather have cash or credit toward an upgrade. Apple offers purchase credit or an Apple Gift Card, while carrier promotions can come with bill credits and upgrade requirements. Compare the amount you’ll receive and any conditions attached to it. Bring your iPhone and an unexpired driver’s license or state-issued photo ID. You can leave the box, charger, and accessories at home. Before you go, back up anything you want to keep, turn off Find My, sign out of your Apple account, and factory reset the phone. Remove the physical SIM card if it has one, and charge the phone if possible.
